Memorial Day

We attended our annual Memorial Day parade in Blairsville this morning. The parade was led by Grand Marshall Matt Moore, the 160 pound State Wrestling Champion from Blairsville. Then followed our Veterans, some of them walking, some of them in a big float. Everyone stood and cheered the men and women! One of the Veterans was Blairsville's own Jeremy Feldbush, who was injured in Iraq right after the start of the war. Jeremy is now totally blind from shrapnel in his face.

The Blairsville Bobcat Band played several patriotic marches, then climbed the hill to the cemetery for the Memorial Day program. It was very well attended this year. The flags were flying throughout the cemetery in honor of all the men and women veterans who are no longer with us.

God bless our military.
