Countdown Time!

I can't believe it... we leave for our cruise on Sunday!!!!

Tonight is the Prom....I'll post pictures either later tonight or tomorrow!!!! Tomorrow is packing day and making sure we didn't forget anything on our list.

Sunday a.m., we plan to leave the house around 8 a.m., stop and get some breakfast and be at the airport by 11:00. It usually takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to the airport. Our flight doesn't leave till almost 1:30, but I do NOT want to take any chances! lol!

I'm so excited that I can hardly think straight!!!!

Prom Pictures!

Friday night was Prom night! Their theme was Viva Las Vegas. In Blairsville, we have what is called the Grand March which is where all the kids line up and walk across the stage as their names are announced for everyone to see their gorgeous dresses and tuxes. Each student is given two tickets for their parents, then they can purchase additional tickets for other family members. Of course Frank and I went, but Becca also asked Grammie (my mom) and Mrs. A, a close friend of the family.

Becca was extremely nervous about being on the stage. She hates attention! And, as they called each student's name, the boy walked from one side of the stage and the girl came from the other, then they met in the middle. They walk down the steps and up the aisles as another couple is announced.

From the Grand March, they were loaded into coach buses and taken to the local country club for dinner. At 10:00, they got back on the buses and headed to Pittsburgh for a ride on the Gateway Clipper for a midnight cruise. They had a beautiful night! At 2:30, they boarded the buses once again and headed for Dave & Buster's on the Waterfront for a couple of hours of games and fun. They arrived back in Blairsville at 7:00 a.m., just a bit tired ;)

Becca went with a guy named Damian and had a very nice time. I think she looked absolutely beautiful!

Time for Prom!

Yes, it's that time of the year when all the schools are having their Prom, and our school is no different. Our oldest daughter, Becca is a Junior this year and will be attending her first Prom! I think I'm just as excited as she is! We're going shopping tonight for her dress. This is her favorite.... she found it online at the Deb Shop:So, we're hoping they have this one in the store, but if not, and she doesn't find something else she likes better, we're going to order this one online. Notice how she accessorized it all?

The Prom is May 4th, so we have less than two weeks to get everything together! A friend of ours is a beautician, so she's coming over to our house one day next week to play with hair styles... then she'll come back over the night of the Prom to get her ready for the big night! I'll be posting pictures of the big night later!
